UPDATE! February 14, 2016 — Happy Valentine’s Day! Great news…I’ve been transitioned to a Full Time Employee of the Walt Disney Studios as of today! Continuing to work on metadata analysis and overall data curation with the Studio Technology Asset Management team and couldn’t be more excited!
September 17, 2015 — I was asked to extend my internship with the Studio Technology group and happily accepted! Since I’ve returned to Disney, I’ve been working on data cleanup and user support within one of our many applications. I’m suggesting better ways to request metadata and working with our vendor to make it happen! This continues to be an amazing learning experience and I’m happy to contribute to my team and help our users with the system.
July 13, 2015 — During Summer 2015, for my final Capstone project at UT, I interned with Disney’s Studio Technology Asset Management team. I had a great summer learning the ins and outs of digital asset management, data modeling, data governance, user testing, security, software development, systems administration and on and on. I helped lead the team on metadata mapping from one system to another and became a controlled vocabulary master. Very happy to have helped this group and I learned so so much from my managers, Mary Lou Matthews and Christina Aguilera! Plus, I got to spend my summer on the Disney Studio Lot…so much fun!
