During Spring 2015, in my final semester as a HRC Film Archives volunteer, I worked with the Robert De Niro Costume and Prop collection. I lightly cataloged our latest accession of costume and props from De Niro’s more recent movies (Grudge Match, Killing Season, The Family and Last Vegas) and helped the Asst Curator of Costumes and Personal Effects, Jill Morena, decide what would be included in the collection and what would be returned. I photographed costumes and props and later entered accessioned materials into the costume database. This was a great hands-on experience building on the costume/prop knowledge I gained while interning with NBCUniversal’s Archives & Collections.
